How does inbound sea freight reach Chicago?
Most inbound ocean freight for our Chicago facility arrives via the West Coast, through the Port of LA or Long Beach, then moves by rail or intermodal into the Chicago metro. Some freight routes via the East Coast through New York or Savannah depending on the trade lane. We'll advise on the most cost-effective routing for your specific origin when you get a quote.
Do you handle customs clearance, or do I need a separate broker?
We handle customs clearance in-house at the port of entry as part of the same service. You don't need a separate customs broker relationship.
